Thionville and the three borders area (France, Germany, Luxembourg). Traces of the past can be found everywhere in this area which is dominated by the presence of the Moselle river. The river flows slowly and majestically through the valley and vines cling to its sides at every meander. Nearby, the Châteaux stand guard peacefully over the neighbouring borders whilst several kilometres away below the surface, there are sites which have been transformed into places of remembrance.

Remembering stories of the iron mines and of a fortification which was said to be impassable! To fully appreciate this area, do not fail to enjoy its rich natural heritage of forests and plateaus where you can wonder at more than 25 different species of orchid or leisurely hike or cycle along well-signposted routes. This is quite a place!
