Vienna Main station, also referred to in English as “Vienna Hauptbahnhof,” in German Wien Hauptbahnhof abbreviated as “Wien Hbf” is the main railway station in Vienna, Austria It is located in the Favoriten district and became fully operational in December 2015, linking major railway lines from the north, east, south and west, and replacing the old Wien Südbahnhof terminus. It serves 1000 trains each day with 145.000 passengers.
Its geographic coordinates are 48°11′12″N 16°22′48″E with 12 platforms and 20 tracks: 12 for ÖBB, 4 for loading cars (Wien Hauptbahnhof Autoreisezug), 2 for the underground tram and 2 for the U-Bahn.
