The Milan Porta Garibaldi station is a train station in Milan; it is located just north of the homonymous, Porta Garibaldi, historic gate, in Piazza Sigmund Freud.
It houses the interchange between: numerous international, national (including high speed) and regional railway lines. There’s one line for Malpensa airport, 9 suburban railway lines, 2 underground lines (M2 and M5), 5 surface lines (10, 33, NM2, N25 and N26 and, buses to Malpensa, Linate and Orio al Serio airports.
It is the main station of the city for commuter traffic with 25 million passengers every year, and is the third largest train station in Milan for total traffic, after the Central station and Cadorna station (about 3.5 km). It has 20 surface tracks, 12 of which serve main train lines.
It has coordinates 45 ° 29′04.55 ″ N 9 ° 11′15.35 ″ E with 20 platforms.
