The Palermo Central station is the main railway station of the city of Palermo; it is a terminal station, since the tracks from the various arrival directions flow into it, ending with a bumper. It is located in the heart of the city, in Piazza Giulio Cesare. The station is the departure of the metropolitan train service line to the Palermo-Punta Raisi airport.

At the station there are the Central Station Line 1 tram stop, an AMAT urban bus terminal, a stop for the Prestia and Comandè shuttle buses to the airport and the Flixbus, SAIS, AST, Autoservizi Salemi bus terminal, Segesta Autolinee for the main regional, national and international locations.
You can reach the airport from the Palermo Centrale railway station with the Palermo metropolitan railway service. The frequency on work days is a train every 30 minutes in each direction starting early in the day to around 10.00 pm.

There's a staffed left luggage office open 7 days a week. You pay 6€ per bag for the first 5 hours. Then it's 0.90€ per hour for 6-12 hours, then 0.40€ per hour for the thirteenth & following hours with a maximum period of 5 days for deposit. Weight limits of 20Kg per item exist but are generally not enforced.
