Wels Hauptbahnhof, or Wels central station is a railway station at Wels, at the northwestern edge of the city centre..It is the second largest city in the federal state of Upper Austria, in the north of Austria. The bridge from the station building over the platforms links the station with the Neustadt district on the other side of the tracks. There are three entrances to each platform (elevator and two flights of stairs or escalators) except for platforms 1 and 11, 12
Its geographic coordinates are 48°9′56″N 14°1′36″E with 11 platforms and is on the train lines Western Railway, Alm Valley railway and Aschach railway. It is the first railway station of the railway line Wels-Passau to Passau Hauptbahnhof as well as the Almtalbahn to Grünau im Almtal, which branches off from the Westbahn in Wels.
