Its latitude and longitude geographic coordinates are 49° 10′ 36″ North, 0° 20′ 52″ East.
It is served by the Intercites Normandie and TER Normandie and is on the train line Mantes-la-Jolie <=> Cherbourg, Caen <=> Cerisy-Belle-Etoile (abandoned), Caen <=> Vire (abandoned) and Caen <=> Dozule – Putot (abandoned) with 7 (plus sidings) tracks and 4 (including 3 central) platforms.
